Security incident

Important notice

Dear PumpYourSound Users,

We are writing to inform you about a security incident that recently affected our platform. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and concern this may cause.

What happened?

On October 23, 2026, we discovered that an unauthorized party had gained access to part of our server infrastructure between October 14–16.

Our investigation confirmed that certain application files and error logs were accessed and downloaded. These logs contained some user information, including email addresses, usernames, and user IDs.

While we have no confirmation that our user database was accessed, we cannot rule out the possibility that additional information, including account details, private messages, subscription information, and connected SoundCloud or Spotify account tokens, may have been exposed.

What have we done?

Immediately after discovering the incident, we took additional security measures to prevent further unauthorized access.

As a precaution, PumpYourSound is currently offline while we investigate the incident, strengthen our security, and work towards safely restoring the service.

User passwords are stored using bcrypt hashing, rather than in plain text, and we do not store payment card details.

What should you do?

If you use the same password on other websites, we strongly recommend changing it.

If you have connected your SoundCloud or Spotify account, we recommend reviewing your account security and revoking PumpYourSound's access through the respective platform's settings.

Once PumpYourSound is restored, you will be required to log in again and reconnect your connected accounts.

Please be cautious of suspicious emails or messages requesting your passwords or personal information.

What happens next?

Our team is actively investigating the incident and taking the necessary steps to restore PumpYourSound as securely as possible. We will keep you informed about any significant developments and the restoration of our services.
